Hudson

Our Hudson family can be traced back to my 5th great-grandfather William Hudson, born in north Co. Kerry in the early 18th century. William’s Hudson ancestors had come to Ireland from England, probably in the 16th century, having been granted land in north Kerry. Among William's sons was my 4th great-grandfather (possibly named William) who was probably born in Bunagara, Listowel, Co. Kerry. Many of his descendants settled in Tralee, Co. Kerry and in Kilbaha, Newtownsandes (now Moyvane), Co. Kerry. The family was Protestant, but the Kilbaha branch was Catholic, following the marriage around 1815 of my 3rd great-grandfather Richard Hudson to Margaret Finucane, who was Catholic. For further information on the family, please click on Descendants List or Narrative Report, or on one of the photographs below.

If you have any photo(s) you would like to share (or a better quality version of one I have), I would be delighted to hear from you. Please email any pictures to HelensFamilyTrees@gmail.com. Many thanks in advance.
