Woulfe

Our Woulfe family came from the parish of Athea, Co. Limerick, possibly from the townland of Cratloe as I have been DNA-matched by Ancestry with members of a number of branches of Cratloe Woulfes. However, I have only managed to trace my Woulfe ancestry back with any certainty to my great-great-grandmother Mary Woulfe, born around 1820 in Athea. Mary married John Shanahan in 1840; they had nine children and lived in Kilbaha, Newtownsandes (now Moyvane), Co. Kerry. For information on Mary and her descendants, please click on Descendants List or Narrative Report.

Unfortunately, I have no photographs of any members of my Woulfe family, but if you have any photo(s) you would like to contribute I would be delighted to hear from you. Please email any pictures to HelensFamilyTrees@gmail.com. Many thanks in advance.
