O'Connor

We can trace our O’Connor family back to two brothers (although it is a possibility they were first cousins rather than brothers), one of whom had at least one son, Patrick (my great-great-grandfather) and possibly another son named Jeremiah. The other brother had at least one son, Maurice. My ancestor Patrick (born around 1800) farmed in Dirreen, Athea, Co. Limerick, and his probable brother Jeremiah (born around 1793) in Seconglass, Mountcollins, Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick. Their probable cousin Maurice (born around 1825) lived in Caherlevoy, Mountcollins, Co. Limerick.

At some point, probably in the 1850s, Patrick and his wife, believed to have been Mary Dalton of Athea, moved from Dirreen to Kilbaha in the nearby parish of Newtownsandes (now named Moyvane), Co. Kerry, where they remained for the rest of their lives. For further information, please click on Descendants List or Narrative Report, or on one of the photographs below.

If you have any photo(s) you would like to share (or a better quality version of one I have), I would be delighted to hear from you. Please email any pictures to HelensFamilyTrees@gmail.com. Many thanks in advance.
